Early Childhood Training in China

In December Dr. Isbell spent two weeks in China lecturing and working with University students, kindergarten teachers, and young children attending early childhood programs. One week was spent at Beijing Normal University, in Beijing. During this time she enjoyed interacting with BNU early childhood students and visiting early childhood classrooms. The students were so bright, creative, and interested in learning.

The second week was spent at Sandong University which is about 3 hours from Beijing. The trip was made on a very modern and fast train. The students here were very interested in what we believed were the components of a quality program for young children.

 

"It is so wonderful to learn that we have similar aspirations---although we live so far apart. We care about young children and want good things for them in the US and in China", Isbell.
